Generally, our pools take about 8 weeks to complete the installation.

Of course there are many factors that can affect that timeline.

Here is an outline of the different steps it takes to fully complete your vinyl liner pool.

Step 1: Excavation

Before the actual process of building the pool can begin, our installers will excavate the area where your pool will be located. We typically dig the hole an extra 30” larger than the pool size for the working room necessary to install the panels and utilities.

R

Step 2: Wall Panel Assembly

During this step we bolt and secure the wall panels together, completing the perimeter shape of the pool along with any steps, benches or sundecks.

R

Step 3: Concrete Footing

Once the perimeter is assembled, concrete is laid around the outside of the walls to firmly keep them in place.

R

Step 4: Plumbing and electrical

The plumbing pipes and electrical conduit are installed. This is trenched all the way back to the equipment pad so we can later hook up the filter and any lights or water features.

R

Step 5: Base Installation (1-2 Days)

Inside the perimeter of the pool, we now lay our base which is a cement-like product called Pool Krete.  This is a smooth material that ultimately the pool liner will sit on.

R

Step 6: Liner Installation

The liner is laid onto the Pool Krete base and connected to a track that is attached to the top of the wall panels, under the coping.

The builders then begin filling the pool with water and cut areas for lights, skimmers, jets, or steps. During this step, our installers work to eliminate wrinkles in the liner.

Finally, we begin to fill the pool with water.

Step 7: Concrete Deck Installation

Once we set up the concrete deck and lay out the rebar, an electrical bonding inspection needs to be completed.  After passing that inspection, we are ready to pour the concrete deck.

R

Step 8: Pool Equipment Installation

At this stage, we set up your pool equipment pad. This includes your filter, pump, heater, electrical panel, and all the other necessary equipment your pool and options may need.

R

Step 9: Pool Start-Up

Water chemistry is tested to make sure the water is balanced and safe to swim in. At this point we do your pool walkthrough and teach you how to operate and maintain your investment!
